Joelle is a New York City based jazz vocalist and actress. She has been featured on a variety of recording projects: songwriter submissions to major artists, jingle spots/voice overs, radio branding, and back up vocals for artists such as Josh Ritter.  She was featured on Josh’s acclaimed album, The Historical Conquests of Josh Ritter released by Sony Victor/Independent records in 2007.

Joelle frequently performs to sold out audiences with her Jazz trio Joelle & the Pinehurst Trio at The Metropolitan Room in NYC and other venues. The group is available for private events in and around the New York area.

An advocate of young composers, Joelle has participated in readings, recordings, and performances of new works.  She has been featured in new music concerts at venues such as Lincoln Center, Joe’s Pub, Birdland, The Laurie Beechman, The Duplex and The Metropolitan Room.  This past year, Joelle performed in Broadway’s 24 Hour Musicals festival at the Gramercy Theatre.

A native of Boston, Joelle began her studies at the Boston University Tanglewood Institute and New England Conservatory Preperatory School, where she studied both jazz and classical voice. She studied opera at Indiana University School of Music and Boston University earning a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance.  In 2008, Joelle returned to Boston and appeared as Shawntel/Eve in the New England Premier of Jerry Springer the Opera with Speakeasy Stage Company at Boston Center for the arts.

Joelle is a member of Actor’s Equity.
